Side by Side file viewer in PhpED

You can display Side by Side differences between the copy of the file in the Editor and its local or remote copy of the file before you save your changes.

How to show side by side difference in the file open in the Editor

PhpED provides a side by side view of the differences between the editor copy of the file and the file on the local or remote computer. To launch a side by side viewer when the file is open in the Editor, select Show Differences item from a popup menu of File toolbar. Show Differences menu consists of two items:

Local File Differences. Select it to compare the file open in the Editor against the copy of the file on local disk, select from Show Differences menu.
Remote File Differences. Select it to compare the file open in the Editor against the cope of the file on a remote server specified in the Project Properties. The file will be downloaded automatically if FTP or SFTP accounts are specified in Project Properties.

Differences viewer will come up
You can use Difference Viewer toolbar to navigate between differences in the file and change the display of the differences in the file
