PhpED 8 is a major point release for NuSphere. It delivers a Break through Worksets feature, SSH Tunnels for PHP Debugger and other debugger and editor enhancements.

Worksets in IDE 
PhpED Worksets is a powerful functionality that allows you to preserve current context of your IDE and switch between the context with a single menu click. It is the way to take a snapshot of PHP IDE in any point of time and switch back and forth between the snapshots. Using Worksets item of Windows menu you can
- Switch between Worksets
- Create new Workset preserving your current context in PHP IDE
- List and select any of the previously created Worksets

SSH Tunnels for Remote PHP Debugging
PhpED features one of the most powerful PHP Debuggers allowing you to debug your PHP applications on both local and remote servers on virtually any platform from Linux to Mac and Windows. Setting up communications with the debugger on remote server can be tricky because of the firewalls and routers on the network. SSH Tunnels provide the most secure and straight forward way to get your remote debugging up and running in just a few clicks.
Evaluate and Modify in PHP Debugger Windows
PhpED's debugger has always provided tool tips displaying the names of the variables under the cursor. However, quite often the expressions that need to be evaluated on the fly are too complex for a simple tool tip, while adding a watch is not practical. Introduced in PhpED 8.0. The Evaluate/Modify window displays a non blocking dialog that can be used to evaluate an expression, which is too complex for the simple tootip hint. Learn more about it on PHP Debugger page
Run Detach functionality in PHP Debugger
It is often the case that you need to stop the debugging session but still run the script to a completion. To achieve that there is now Run->Detach menu item that detaches current debugging session but runs the script through to the end.
