function dngettext(
    string $domain,
    string $singular,
    string $plural,
    int $count
): string

The dngettext() function allows you to override the current domain for a single plural message lookup.

A string on success.

Throws a ValueError if domain is the empty string or longer than 1024 bytes.

Throws a ValueError if singular or plural is longer than 4096 bytes.

Version	Description
8.4.0	Now throws a ValueError if `domain` is the empty string.
8.0.0	Now throws a ValueError if an argument is too long. Previously, an `E_WARNING` was raised and `false` was returned.
